Our club, Northern Shaolin Traditional Martial Arts, meets three times a week
in Vancouver, B.C.

We train in traditional northern Shaolin martial arts (kung fu) and southern style lion dance.

Class Style

You are welcome to drop-in and either watch or participate (wear runners and loose clothing). A normal class consists of:
  • 30 minutes - individual stretching and warm-up
  • 45 minutes - group stretching, cardio work-out, technique practice
  • 45 minutes - form practice, individual instruction, small group practice
Our evening classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at: The Hoy Ping Benevolent Association, 440 Main Street, upstairs. We also offer lion dance training (for those students who wish to participate) at this venue. Our Saturday classes are held at: the Lee’s Association, 313 East Pender Street. Lion dance training is also available at this venue. Students attending these classes will need to be registered with the Lee's Association.
